Editing pages

If you don't know how to start editing a page, look at the choosing a page to edit article.

The editing page

When you load the editing page, you will see a window with three or four tabs along the top as shown below.

The forth tab, "Security" is only shown is you have the permissions to change the page security settings for that page:

Content tab

The content tab is where you edit the content of the page. To learn how to use the page content editor, click here.

Adding images and files to the page

You can upload images and files at the bottom of the content tab. Read instructions here.

Preview tab

The preview tab can be selected to show a preview of the page content as if it were on the page. This shows what the page content will look like when you save. You can use the preview tab to check the page content looks right before saving.

Details tab

The details tab is where you can change the page's name, its hierarchy, and the page description. To learn about editing these, click here.

Security tab

The security tab allows you to choose which user groups can see the page, and which user groups can edit the page.

Saving the page

When you have finished making changes to the page, click the "Update page" to the bottom right of the tabs. This will save any changes you have made on all tabs.

When the page is saved you will automatically be redirected to the newly edited page. To save progress but continue editing, uncheck this option to stay on the edit page:
